Best Los Cabos Mexico Restaurants (+ Organic, Healthier, Farm To Table Options)
Heading To The Los Cabos, Mexico Area (Cabo San Lucas & San Jose del Cabo) And Looking For The Best Restaurants Around, Plus Some Healthier And Organic Options?
I’ve traveled to the Los Cabos area in Baja California, Mexico multiple times, sometimes just because I’m dying to eat at some of my favorite restaurants here, but one of the best things (at least for clean living/allergy people) is that some of the most delicious restaurants here are also healthier, farm to table, organic kinds of places.
🌮 Best Los Cabos, Mexico Restaurants
I love visiting Cabo just for the delicious food here, and I love that there are so many options for healthier, farm to table, and organic eaters.
Most of these kinds of restaurants are also very attentive and helpful for food allergies as well so that’s another plus. They can be pretty expensive (everything is expensive in Cabo), but I think the quality of the food is worth it.
Best Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Restaurants
These are some of the best restaurants in or closer to the Cabo San Lucas area. My favorites are closer to the top, but I listed out all different options for this area.
➡️ Tip: make reservations for most of these restaurants in advance because they get super busy and may not have any openings if you wait until arriving
1. The Outpost

The Outpost is a great organic/healthy option right next to the Cabo Marina. They are open nearly all day long, but I’ve only ever eaten here at breakfast time (twice).
Both times I ordered the gluten free pancakes and they were great, but the beans were probably my favorite.
- Type: Breakfast, Mexican, Seafood, American
- Location: Cabo Center/Marina
- Cost: $-$$
- Organic 🅾️
- Menu
🅾️ Organic means they do organic or organic-practices with some food
2. Tacos Gardenias

Because you can’t visit Mexico without getting some delicious street-style tacos, this is my go to restaurant here in Cabo. Tacos Gardenias is close to the main Cabo marina area so it’s super convenient for lunch after whale watching, hiking, an Arch/Lovers Beach tour, or whatever.
Their corn tortillas are homemade and they told me the corn was grown organically, but I’m not super sure about that 🤷♀️. My favorite tacos are always the carne asada (pictured above).
- Type: Mexican, Tacos
- Location: Cabo Marina
- Cost: $
- Menu
3. Talay

I’ve always stayed at The Montage when visiting Cabo so Talay has always been super convenient for me, plus I love the food. They are closed on certain days and at certain times (I’ve been disappointed by this a few times), but when they’re open, the food is delicious.
- Type: Thai
- Location: at The Montage
- Cost: $$-$$$
- Organic 🅾️
- Menu
➡️ Tip: Talay (along with many other restaurants on this list) is an open/outdoor restaurant so if you choose to visit Cabo in the cheaper months, it will be hotter and July is fly season here so they can be super annoying
4. Marea

Although I don’t normally eat gluten (most of it hurts my stomach), this is one of my favorite places to get a burger because it’s huge, super tasty, it doesn’t hurt me, and if you’re staying at The Montage, you can order it and eat it while sitting in a lounge chair on the beach (pictured above).
If you’re not staying at the hotel, you can still visit Marea and the views are still fantastic (it overlooks Santa Maria Beach/Bay).
- Type: Breakfast, Mexican, Seafood, Italian, American
- Location: The Montage
- Cost: $$-$$$
- Organic 🅾️
- Menu
5. Mezcal
Mezcal is another one of The Montage restaurants located in between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. It’s a fancier Mexican style restaurant with higher prices but very high reviews.
- Type: Fancy Mexican
- Location: The Montage
- Cost: $$$
- Organic 🅾️
- Menu
6. El Huerto Farm to Table
Closer to the Cabo area, El Huerto is a fantastic healthy/organic place to eat with a pretty decent sized menu and even a breakfast menu. Their menu is seasonal so it can change based on what’s available.
- Type: Organic
- Location: close to Cabo
- Cost: $$-$$$
- Organic 🅾️
- Menu
7. Torote Restaurant at Valle del Sol

Torote is a popular Mexican/Mediterranean style restaurant with great views of the Cabo area (it sits up on a hill). It is on the more expensive side since they do things more organically with farm to table ingredients, but the food is delicious with the seafood being especially popular.
- Type: Mexican-Mediterranean
- Location: close to Cabo
- Cost: $$$
- Organic 🅾️
- Menu
8. Restaurante Palo Verde
This restaurant is a part of the Palo Verde hotel in the center of Cabo San Lucas. They have a breakfast menu that runs until 2:00pm and then a lunch/dinner menu that goes from 2:30pm to 9:00pm.
They have great reviews (4.9 stars on Google) and people really seem to love their breakfast.
- Type: Mexican
- Location: Cabo center
- Cost: $$
- Menu
9. Los Cabos Fish Tacos
Their menu isn’t large, technically just three things, but this is the place to get freshly caught fish in handmade corn tortillas. There are plenty of places around Cabo that serve fish, but people vote them as the best or second best fish tacos in the entire Cabo area.
- Type: Mexican, Tacos, Seafood
- Location: Cabo Marina
- Cost: $
- Menu
10. Mother Flower
Mother Flower serves brunch, lunch, and dinner with a menu combining Mexican, Seafood, and a little American flavors, plus handcrafted cocktails. Their seafood dishes definitely seem be the most popular.
- Type: Mexican, Seafood
- Location: Cabo Marina
- Cost: $-$$
- Menu
11. Sead Soul to Table
Sead Soul gets fresh, locally sourced ingredients and they focus on mindful eating with a helpful and understanding staff for dietary restrictions/preferences like vegan, dairy free, and gluten free.
- Type: Healthy, Allergy Friendly, Mexican, American
- Location: close to Cabo
- Cost: $$
- Organic 🅾️
- Menu
Best San Jose del Cabo, Mexico Restaurants
These are the restaurants in or closer to the San Jose del Cabo area of Los Cabos, Mexico, including one of my most favorite restaurants.
12. Flora Farms

Flora Farms is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in the Los Cabos, Mexico area and I really can’t recommend it enough. I usually eat gluten free, but not at Flora because the food is so delicious and it doesn’t seem to bother me at all, plus their food follows organic practices and is farm to table.
- Type: Italian, some Mexican and American
- Location: close to San Jose
- Cost: $$-$$$
- Organic 🅾️
- Menu
13. The Acre

The Acre is really close to Flora Farms, and although I love Flora the most, the Acre is really good for the more traditional Mexican cuisine, and the animals they have out here are super cute and fun to see or feed (if they let you).
I’ve only been once, but the carne asada tacos I got here (pictured above) were amazing and the cake they brought me for my birthday was great too, plus I love the organic, farm to table style of the restaurant.
Here’s a more detailed review I did of The Acre.
- Type: Mexican
- Location: close to San Jose
- Cost: $$-$$$
- Organic 🅾️
- Menu
14. Señora Cocina

Señora Cocina was one of the most surprising restaurants to me in the Los Cabos, Mexico area (it’s closer to San Jose del Cabo than Cabo San Lucas), because I was just going to the grocery store nearby but met some other travelers coming out of this restaurant that highly recommended it so I tried it.
The food was incredible, I got the organic chicken, but my absolute favorite part was the Frijolitos con Veneno (beans with chili oil) and the Sikil Pak (a Yucatecan style salsa), the two closest bowls pictured above.
15. La Revolucion

On my first trip to Cabo, I went to the San Jose Art Walk one Thursday but before walking around I ate at La Revolucion. I got the organic chicken, which was huge, but really good and really moist. Others with me got tacos and seafood, and said everything was delicious.
16. Cynthia Fresh
Cynthia Fresh is an easy to access organic cafe for those in the San Jose hotel zone. The portions are good, the food is fresh, and the prices are pretty reasonable too for organic eating.
- Type: Organic
- Location: San Jose hotel zone
- Cost: $$
- Organic 🅾️
17. ORGANI-K San Jose del Cabo
Organi-k is another one of the healthy/organic restaurants in the Los Cabos area of Mexico (specifically San Jose). They have a great philosophy of you are what you eat and they believe we can transform our bodies and minds by consciously eating.
18. Tamarindos
Tamarindos is up in the same area as a few of my other favorite Los Cabos, Mexico restaurants (specifically in San Jose del Cabo), and they too have organic and farm to table options.
19. SAGE Baja
Sage is located right in the center of San Jose, perfect for an evening at the Art Walk, and their chef uses locally sourced ingredients to create dishes with indigenous flavors of Baja California Sur.
20. Sabaku Handroll y Sake Bar
Specializing in handrolls, Sabaku uses high quality local ingredients to create authentic Japanese flavors. They have 5 stars on google with more than 380 reviews, but their menu is fairly small and their prices are on the higher side.
21. A Few Local Favorites

One of my favorite tours in the Los Cabos, Mexico area was the surfing tour I went on with Good Trips Baja, and Max my guide, the one that runs the company, was super friendly and shared a number of favorite local restaurants to eat at in San Jose and Cabo San Lucas.
I haven’t been to any of them, but I thought I would add them here since they were suggested by a local.
My Favorite Restaurant In The Cabo Area

The best restaurant in the Cabo area in my opinion is definitely Flora Farms.
I’ve loved pretty much every single meal I’ve eaten at all of the restaurants I’ve been to in the Los Cabos, Mexico area, but Flora is just my favorite because I love Italian food, their food doesn’t hurt my stomach, and the chocolate cake they’ve given me on my birthday was the best cake I’ve ever had.
I highly suggest adding Flora Farms to your list of places to eat in Cabo and if you want more info or to see more pictures, here is a full review I did on Flora.
🔁 Sum Up: Best Los Cabos, Mexico Restaurants
The Los Cabos, Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, area of Mexico has some of the best food I’ve ever tasted, and a huge bonus for me is that these restaurants are also healthier, organic, and/or farm to table. There are a couple restaurants near Cabo and San Jose that I wish were in my hometown so I could eat at them all the time (like Talay, Flora Farms, The Acre, Señora Cocina, Marea, Tacos Gardenias, and The Outpost), but to me they’re a good enough reason to go back to Cabo again.
