Planning A Trip To Pebble Beach, And Looking For A More Detailed Review Of The Inn At Spanish Bay So You Can Decide If It’s Worth Staying At?

My family goes to the Pebble Beach area almost every year for business and we’ve stayed at multiple of the Pebble resorts, including the Inn at Spanish Bay, so here is a review with all my autistic and ocd thoughts on this hotel regarding its cleanliness, spaciousness, amenities, luxuriousness, etc.

⛳️ Review Of The Inn At Spanish Bay

Although it is quite expensive, it is one of the nicest hotels in the area.

In Short:

There are plenty of hotels to choose from in the Monterey, Carmel, and Pebble Beach areas, but especially if you are trying to play Pebble Beach Golf Links, staying at one of these resorts, like the Inn at Spanish Bay, is basically a requirement, plus they are all incredibly nice so if you can afford it, I would definitely say stay here.

✅ Why Stay At The Inn At Spanish Bay

Although all of the Pebble Beach resorts (like the Inn at Spanish Bay) and the golf courses themselves, are quite expensive (definitely not less than $1,200 a night for the hotels), these are all the reasons why it is worth it to stay here:

Cleanliness

My favorite part about the Inn at Spanish Bay is how clean and nice everything is.

There is only one other hotel that I’ve stayed at that equals the quality of cleanliness that the Inn at Spanish Bay (and other Pebble resorts) has, and I wish that all hotels could be this nice and clean.

For me, cleanliness is more than just a preference. My ocd and autism are greatly affected and stressed by the options that do not meet my standards so traveling can be extra extra stressful when I don’t feel relaxed or comfortable because of the state of the hotel and rooms.

The Pebble resorts meet my standards and I feel like I can actually relax because of how clean they feel.

Rooms

The rooms are spacious and nice.

Compared to The Lodge, which is also a Pebble Beach resort on the Pebble Beach Golf Links course, the Inn at Spanish Bay rooms feel much larger and more spacious so I like them even more.

Everything is always so nice, organized, and clean so I really feel comfortable here, plus they have balconies and fireplaces which is a very nice addition.

Other than the Inn at Spanish Bay, Pebble has a few other hotels like The Lodge.

Views

Although the resorts are very expensive, they are wonderful, clean, and so cozy with ocean views and lots of fireplaces.

Also compared to The Lodge, the views at Spanish Bay are much better in my opinion with far more coastal sights.

Aside from some golf course views, just beyond the hotel you can see Spanish Bay Beach, which was the camping site of Spanish explorers back in 1769 when they were trying to find Monterey Bay but couldn’t for a year.*

Amenities

The inn at Spanish bay is an awesome luxury place to stay.

Outside of golf and the beach, the Inn at Spanish Bay has some of the best amenities of the Pebble resorts, particularly with the daily bagpipe playing that makes you feel like you’re in Scotland.

Spanish Bay also has other great options like:

  • Courtesy Transportation
  • Private Clubs
  • Concierge Service
  • Childcare Service

Golf

In order to play Pebble Beach Golf Links, you really have to stay on property so visiting during low season could help with costs.

One of the great benefits of staying at a Pebble Beach resort is the special access you get to the golf courses.

Those that have a resort reservation at one of the Pebble hotels (like The Lodge or The Inn at Spanish Bay) can book tee times for Pebble Beach Golf Links (or any of the courses) up to 18 months in advance, but all non-hotel guests only have 24 hour advanced access.

So, you’re basically guaranteed to get a tee time for the most popular Pebble Beach Golf Links course, whereas non-guests basically can’t ever get a tee time.

It’s not as hard to get a tee time at the Links at Spanish Bay, but this course is one of the best Pebble courses in my opinion so it’s definitely worth playing.

Luxuriousness

The overall luxuriousness of the Inn at Spanish Bay is incredible.

Overall, the whole luxurious feeling of the Inn at Spanish Bay with the cleanliness, high quality, and helpful service really makes this one of my favorite hotels, plus I like it better than other Pebble resorts because of the views, bagpipes, and rooms.

❌ Why You Might Not Want To Stay At The Inn At Spanish Bay

It is not cheap to stay here so this is not for those looking for budget-friendly options.

Really the only reason I can think of that anyone would not want to stay at the Inn at Spanish Bay is because of the cost of staying here. At any of the Pebble resorts, you won’t find a room for less than $1,200 a night, so even a one night stay is extremely expensive.

Other than that, I don’t think there is a single thing to dislike about this hotel.

🔁 Sum Up: The Inn At Spanish Bay

Although the cost to stay even just one night at The Inn at Spanish Bay is ridiculously expensive (no less than $1,200 a night), I feel so relaxed and comfortable at this resort so I think it’s definitely worth it if you can afford it for the cleanliness, quality of the rooms, service, amenities, golf privileges, and views.
