Planning A Trip To Cancun, Mexico And Wondering How Far Chichen Itza Is From This City And What’s The Best Way To Get There?
Mexico is one of the destinations I’ve traveled to most, and I’ve had the chance to visit Chichen Itza multiple times, but even though it’s a little far from the Cancun and Riviera Maya areas, it’s actually pretty easy to get there because it’s such a popular site to visit.
📍 How Far Is Chichen Itza From Cancun, Mexico?

Depending on where you are exactly in Cancun, Chichen Itza is about 2.5 to 3 hours away, and although that is a little far, it’s not that difficult of a place to reach depending on which transportation option you choose.
From the hotel zone along the beach, it’s a little further to get to this historical site and depending on the time of day you go, traffic can be pretty bad, but the further south you stay, the closer it will be (like Tulum only being about 2 hours away).
