The First Monday Trade Days (as its known) is what Canton, Texas is most known for and this swap meet spans over 450 acres, has more than 5,000 vendors, and gets hundreds of thousands of visitors each month.

If you have a car, or plan to rent one for your Texas trip, it’s really easy to get to Canton to go to the swap meet, especially from the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Tyler is also pretty close to Canton, but all other all other locations will probably require a stay overnight.

If you don’t have a car, it’s probably not going to be worth visiting because an Uber could cost over $100 one way, and you might have trouble finding a ride back.

What To Do

Since the flea market in Canton, Texas is so large, it can be hard to decide where to start.

Because the swap meet is so large and it can be a bit intimidating trying to figure out where to go, here are a few recommendations:

while most vendors accept cash and card, parking is usually cash only and there are a few different places to park mostly to the west and the south of the market

if you don’t care what you see and just want to wander around the market, just know that you can go the whole day and not see half of what they have here because it is so large
